I’ve just downloaded the shiny new Windows Live Writer Beta 3, which I found on Download Squad.

I had originally shied away from Live Writer (considering Microsoft’s track record with web publishing, especially FrontPage), but since Download Squad gave them a fairly magnanimous review, I decided to give it a try.

A Better Alternative to SFTPDrive

Hey, you remember how I told you about SFTP Drive? Odds are, you’re better off learning how to connect Windows to your FTP server for free. Although this method doesn’t let you assign the FTP server to a drive letter, and it’s running through the less secure FTP protocol, it’s faster than SFTPDrive, and it’s free.
