There's a more recent version on the Widget website (<a href="http://homepage.mac.com/knut/iTunes_Companion/home.html" rel="nofollow">http://homepage.mac.com/knut/iTunes_Companion/home.html</a>). It seems to work pretty well. I still wish that Apple would just include lyrics and all other metadata in their database. But this is almost as good. It looks like I’ve found a similar solution for Windows, a Yahoo Widget called iTunes Companion. There’s a more recent version on the Widget website (http://homepage.mac.com/knut/iTunes_Companion/home.html). It seems to work pretty well.

I still wish that Apple would just include lyrics and all other metadata in their database. But this is almost as good.

It worked quickly. I don't know if I have to each time, but it worked after I double clicked the face of the widget, which I did out of frustration because nothing seemed to be working. It could've been working but there was no little thing telling me it was working. But I now have lyrics and they are in the lyric field on the iTunes info window. sorry: 2 comments are poor form.
